In 1999 Dutch designer Marcel Tamminga invented what has become the best-known vibration platform in the world, thalte VibroGym. Inspiration for development of the VibroGym came from Russian space scientists in the 1960’s and 70’s who used vibration to maintain bone density and muscle mass of their cosmonauts.

With a team of industrial designers, technicians, programmers and training specialists VibroGym laid foundation for a revolution in Whole Body Vibration Training. For the first time a vibration machine had been developed that was safe, easy to use and suitable for intense professional training.
